									<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>I agree with with <a title="View admindvu's profile" href="http://disabilityvoicesunited.org/interchange/members/admindvu/" rel="nofollow ugc">admindvu</a>.  I&#8217;ll just add, however, that your mother cannot be <strong>paid</strong> for services as an Independent Facilitator if you are a minor.  Parents of those under eighteen years old may not be paid to be independent facilitator.</p>

<p>With Self Determination, funds will still be the &#8220;payer of last resort,&#8221; meaning that if your insurance or anything else covers behavioral therapy, SD funds can&#8217;t cover it.</p>

<p>I&#8217;m an Independent Facilitator.  Your budget can change in the IPP process if 1) there are changing circumstances for your son, 2)if there is an unaddressed/unmet need, or 3) if there is an existing service that has been underutilized in the past and needs to be fully utilized now.</p>
