Many adults and some children receive regional center services in a group. These services include living in group homes or facilities and attending adult day programs. At this time, DDS is only requiring participants with additional health care risks to stay home and not attend day programs. For other individuals, if they or their family member choose to continue to attend a day program, it is critical to ask about their procedures protecting their clients’ safety. There should be frequent cleaning of surfaces, facilitation of hand washing of clients, and regular monitoring of any symptoms of illness among staff and clients.
