Elena is an autistic female self-advocate in her 1st year of the Self-Determination Program. She holds a bachelor's degree in marketing from Cal State Northridge and an associate's degree in general studies with a concentration in social sciences from Los Angeles Valley College. Having been a consumer of multiple regional centers as well as having lived in many different cities in California, she is her friends' go-to person for local resources. Elena is passionate about equity for adults with disabilities in healthcare and employment settings and is involved in multiple local and statewide self-advocacy organizations.
