Jeffrey is an autistic non-speaking man who is a straight-A college honor student. Fighting for his right to receive a quality education means continuously defying expectations placed upon his intellect and ability. Being an agent of change requires advocating for the rights of his community to be treated with respect and integrity. In his 5 years as a self-advocate speaker he has helped construct a bridge of understanding between all perspectives. His non-speaking community has lived lives in silence, often being disregarded and overlooked. Jeffrey believes that by listening to their minds and experiences, together we can build a brighter, more loving society.
